#42 Go to a concert
Wow, i almost forgot a post. this was done in May so im posting it late. better late then never. On may 15th, me and 5 other people went to John Paul Jones arena to see the great christian band, CASTING CROWNS. What a time we had by all. it was an amazing and rejuvenating concert. truly a great time. my five friends were from one church and then just me from my church. And the amazing thing was, was our seats. I had called two months before the concert was to take place to try and get tickets, but it was "solded out" except for seats in the third tier. My friend, Dave and I decided we were still going and were going to scalp tickets to get in. It just so happens we didnt have to. anotehr friend of ours called and got tickets in the third tier, so we thought. when we get to the arena, out tickets say second floor, so we thought, cool. as we showed our tickets to the usher, he said no, your seats are down front. It was getting better by the second. As it turns out, our seats are in the 7th row from center stage. talk about divine intervention. we had some of the best seats in the house, and it made for a much better concert then any of us had expected. Our group even adopted a kid to feed from World of Vision Team. it was my first large christian concert from a known band and i can you what, it wont be my last. God Bless.
#44 Upgrade my PC
I have always wanted a laptop pc, but hadnt planned on buying one in a rush til my desktop decideded to stop working at the beginning of May. It took me a whole month to finally get a laptop, due to the fact i have been working just about every day in may and didnt have alot of time to shop around til the end of the month. so off i went to walmart and costco. i had my mind set on an HP, and found a few i liked. I decided on getting the one at costco, even though it was way more expensive, but the good thing about it, was that i had a coupon for $100 off, so it made the deal that much more sweeter and easy to make. the new PC has 4 GB and 520MB of memory, so it's a great deal. it's more then i had on anticipated getting, but i couldn't pass it up. well, for now, i have my laptop and will buy a desktop later. i still think they are much easier to use, unless i get used to this thing, lol. wow, i made two posts in less then a month, WATCH OUT!!!

#73 Take my family out to eat
On saturday, may 16th, i took my family out to eat at the wood grill buffet in harrisonburg. that's all good, but the real reason i did it was in celebration of my youngest niece 7th birthday, which was on may 17th. The family had a great time. Can't beat that when you have a great family and can enjoy a good buffet to go along with it. You should have seen the look on my nieces face when the staff came out with a piece of strawberry shortcake and sang happy birthday to her. She was definitely shocked. i'm thankful and glad that out family gets along so well and that we were able to have a nice time together. Awesome. i know this is the first post in over a month, but i have been working alot OT and part time at my jobs. More to come.

#41 Start an IRA
As march 1st rolled around, i took on a new task and started a personal IRA. i currently have retirement through my work, but it's nice to have an extra padded security blanket in place. so i went to my bank and opened a new IRA. it sure is better to be safe then to not have the money should i need it. another personal goal accomplished and more to come.

#26 Read an entire book
Finally, i can say i have taken the time to actually sit down and read an entire book from cover to cover. this is a big accomplishment for me, since im not the typical guy that likes to sit down and read. Even books, magazines or papers that i like to read and are interesting just don't seem to get read completely. reading makes me tired. i can thank my good friend Dave for giving me the book, The Man in the Mirror to read. i did find it interesting, because it was a book that was directed towards the christian male and how he should live his life. granted, it took me a little over 6 months to read it, the goal was accomplished. my next task is to find more books to read and complete them on a much more acceptable level. i actually just bought two more christian books this evening. The Love Dare, from the movie Fireproof and The Purpose Driven Life. Both books seem to be some more incredible reading. i can't wait to get started reading them, especially The Love Dare. stayed tuned for some more posts in the next few months. i know the winter months have been slow and i haven't posted much, but more is to come.

#66 Take a bath instead of a shower once a month for three consecutive months
This will be the last post of 2008. This was something not hard to achieve, but it was more of a quest to get myself to slow down and relax some and enjoy a nice soak in the tub. I just recently closed my retail gift shop, because it had become more of a headache then a joy, so now i can take more time for myself to enjoy life. Every one needs to slow down and enjoy the finer things in life. Im one to know, because i found myself working all the time, whether it was at my full time job or at the store. I will miss my store and serving the public, but it's time for a change and time to move on to new adventures. However for now, i will slow down, enjoy my days off from my full-time job and take one day at at time. I plan to continue to take at least one bath a month, just to keep myself honest and to relax. As for now, stayed tuned to more post and bigger and better things in 2009. HAPPY NEW YEAR! onward........
